I'm feeling like a bit of a failure!
January has seen me revert to my previous mindset of avoidance.
And I don't even know why.
But maybe I can find a way around it...
I refuse to give up entirely!
And whilst I've been in avoidance/ procrastination mode, I have at least been analysing my behaviour.
Attempting to understand why I keep running away from this.
Especially as the irony is - I LOVE working out and feeling fit!
Why then, does it feel like an impossible task just to get back into a routine?
I think I've cracked it...
I've been trying to run before I can walk!
Â
I jumped straight in with a commitment to 3 x 1hr workouts and a 1hr coaching session every week.
Which in real terms, is likely what's needed and probably very normal for a lot of people.
And it's definitely achievable for most.
But for me, I think it was too big a change, too soon.
It became a dread to not only do the sessions, but to give up the time when I believed I should have been doing other 'important' things to grow my business.
And these things ARE important, they do need to be done but I also do need to increase my level of activity.
So I came to the conclusion that a better way for me to start these changes, is by starting MUCH smaller.
Baby steps.
Break things down into small, daily challenges that take up minimal time.
Obviously I'm not going to see physical results as quickly, but what I will achieve is this...
A new routine!
At routine I CAN do every single day.
A routine that builds HABITS!
